A Malaysian man was caught in the middle of an affair after his wife’s friend attempted to help evacuate him from the severe floods in Hat Yai, Thailand — only to uncover that he was not stranded with male colleagues as claimed, but staying with another woman.
The man had told his wife that he was stuck in a hotel with three male co-workers after their vehicles were trapped in the rising waters. Unbeknownst to her, he had been sharing a room with another woman for four days and had even introduced her to hotel staff as his “wife.”
The truth surfaced when the wife, who had already returned to Malaysia, asked her former university classmate — known as @psmommyhannah on Threads — to check on her husband’s situation. The friend, who has a Thai cousin, agreed to help. She had previously travelled to Hat Yai from Bangkok but was forced to head home due to the worsening floods.
Wanting to relocate the man to a safer area, she sent her cousin to the hotel. Staff initially confirmed that four Malaysian men were indeed staying there. But the hotel receptionist also disclosed that the man had been accompanied by a woman for several days, contradicting the story he had told his wife.
According to Says, the wife has not yet been informed of the affair. She is currently still in her confinement period after delivering their fourth child.
In her post, the friend pleaded with men to think about the families waiting for them at home.
“Men, have mercy on your children and wives,” she wrote.
