AirAsia Confirms All Flights Operating Despite Tropical Storm Senyar

Date:

AirAsia has assured passengers that all its flights are currently operating as scheduled, despite the approaching Tropical Storm Senyar. The airline has activated heightened monitoring and crisis coordination to ensure uninterrupted travel and maintain passenger safety.

In a statement issued tonight, AirAsia noted that, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia), the storm is moving toward the western coast of Peninsular Malaysia from tonight until November 29, bringing heavy rainfall, strong winds, and unstable weather conditions.

The storm is expected to affect states including Kedah, Penang, Selangor, the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, and Johor.

“We would like to assure our guests that all operational measures are in place to support uninterrupted travel where possible. All flights are currently operating as scheduled, and we are closely monitoring the situation with the relevant authorities to maintain safe flying conditions,” the airline said.

AirAsia also advised passengers to stay alert, as adverse weather may cause flooding and could potentially affect flights or airport operations. Travelers to or from affected areas are encouraged to arrive early at the airport and check updates on their flights via the AirAsia MOVE app, the AskBo chatbot, or their registered email for the latest information.
