Date:

An elderly man was found dead in his home in Kampung Koh, Manjung, yesterday, with injuries to his head and face, in what police believe may be a murder.

Manjung Police Chief ACP Hasbullah Abd Rahman said the 78-year-old victim was discovered in the living room by family members around noon.

“Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim was lying on his back, covered in blood from injuries to the head and face. Police also recovered a bloodstained hoe, believed to be the weapon used,” he said in a statement.

The body was sent to the Forensic Department of Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun for a post-mortem examination, which confirmed that death resulted from multiple blunt and sharp injuries to the head.
