Red Bull is set to replace Yuki Tsunoda with young driver Isack Hadjar, according to a report by RacingNews365 yesterday.
In a related reshuffle, sister team Racing Bulls will reinstate Liam Lawson and promote rookie Arvid Lindblad to the Formula One grid.
Tsunoda has had a difficult season and currently sits 15th in the drivers’ standings, a sharp contrast to teammate Max Verstappen, who is chasing his fifth consecutive world championship.
“I’ve done what I could do,” Tsunoda said recently, adding that the team had given him strong support in recent races and that he was driving a car nearly identical to Verstappen’s.
Tsunoda joins a list of drivers who have struggled to thrive alongside Verstappen, including Alex Albon, Pierre Gasly, Liam Lawson and Sergio Perez.
