A local businessman has gone viral after a video showing him handing out money to beachgoers at Pantai Klebang surfaced online. The clip, posted on TikTok yesterday, has since racked up over 350,000 views and 4,000 likes.
In the video, the businessman, identified as Datuk Salim Abdul Rahman, is seen holding a stack of cash alongside Hulu Langat MP Mohd Sany Hamzan, calling out to beachgoers: “Wave and you’ll get RM100!”
Crowds quickly formed as people waved at him to receive the cash, with MP Hamzan reminding those who had collected their RM100 to step aside so others could participate.
Salim, a millionaire with his own TikTok account, attracted mixed reactions online. Many praised his generosity and saw him as a role model, while some questioned the source of his wealth and suggested scrutiny by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
