Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has called on newly appointed deputy ministers to maintain close cooperation with all stakeholders, including ministries, government agencies and the public, to ensure effective implementation of government policies.
In a Facebook post today, Anwar said the trust and responsibility placed on deputy ministers must be upheld with diligence so that Madani Government initiatives deliver meaningful and tangible benefits to the people.
He stressed the importance of strengthening communication to ensure information shared is clear, accurate and reaches all segments of society, in line with the Madani Government’s principles of inclusivity and accountability.
Anwar made the remarks after receiving a courtesy call from the newly appointed deputy ministers at his office in Putrajaya today.
Yesterday, seven ministers — including two new appointees — and eight newly appointed deputy ministers were sworn in before His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, following a Cabinet reshuffle under the Madani Government.
On Tuesday, Anwar announced new ministerial appointments and several portfolio changes to fill vacancies and make adjustments within the Cabinet.
