The Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) 2026 programme is set to kick off on 9 February, with eligible Malaysians aged 18 and above receiving RM100 through MyKad.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the assistance is scheduled to arrive in time for the 2026 Chinese New Year and Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations, aiming to ease the financial burdens of the rakyat amid rising living costs.
This initiative forms part of the government’s ongoing efforts to provide basic financial support to adults. More details on eligibility criteria and distribution methods are expected to be announced closer to the programme’s official launch.
