Police Hunt Three Suspects in RM20,000 Mobile Shop Robbery in Kuala Muda

Date:

Police are searching for three suspects believed to be involved in a pre-dawn robbery at a mobile phone shop near the Cendana Industrial Zone in Kuala Muda, with losses estimated at over RM20,000.

Kuala Muda police chief, Assistant Commissioner Hanyan Ramlan, said investigations are ongoing. The suspects were reportedly wearing masks during the heist, and the case is being investigated under Section 395 of the Penal Code for gang robbery.

“Officers are conducting investigations to identify and trace the suspects involved,” he said, confirming the total losses exceeded RM20,000.

The shop owner said the robbery took place at around 4am, when the suspects forced their way into the shop and threatened a security guard with a parang. The guard was unharmed, but the robbers took his mobile phone.

Approximately RM20,000 worth of mobile phones, including iPhone and Android models, were stolen. The shop owner advised the public to be cautious of attempts to sell brand-new mobile phones at unusually low prices, as these may be linked to the robbery.
