A woman was killed in a car crash after another vehicle allegedly ran a red light and collided with her car, trapping her inside and causing fatal injuries.
The accident occurred at about 2pm today at an intersection in Bukit Kechil, near the Terengganu Road Transport Department.
The victim was identified as 24-year-old Syakilah Hana, a student of Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin. The male driver of the other car involved was injured.
Kuala Terengganu district police chief ACP Azli confirmed the incident and said further details would be released after investigations are completed.
Dashcam footage circulating on social media showed the victim’s Perodua Viva travelling normally on a green light when a Honda Jazz allegedly ran the red light from the opposite direction, crashing into her vehicle and knocking down a nearby streetlight.
