Sultan Ibrahim Donates Mosque for Batu Muda Community

Date:

His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, has pledged to donate a mosque for residents of the Batu Muda area, reaffirming his commitment to enhancing religious and community facilities in Kuala Lumpur.

In a Facebook post on his official page, Sultan Ibrahim said the decision was communicated to Kuala Lumpur Mayor Datuk Fadlun Mak Ujud during a royal audience at Istana Bukit Tunku.

The approved mosque site spans approximately two acres near the Batu Muda People’s Housing Project. Sultan Ibrahim noted that all construction costs would be personally covered and that the mosque’s design would be modeled after the Kampung Mahmoodiah Mosque in Johor Baru.

“I have long held the intention of donating a mosque for residents in the Kuala Lumpur area, and after discussions with the mayor, today, on this blessed Friday, this intention has been fulfilled,” he wrote. “May it be of benefit to all, in this world and the hereafter, God willing.”

Also present during the audience was Kuala Lumpur City Hall Urban Planning Department director Rosli Nordin.
