M’sian Man Lives in a Tree for Over Six Months After Losing His Home

Date:

A man in Malaysia has been surviving by sleeping in a tree for more than six months after he was no longer able to afford rental accommodation, according to a social media post by well-known social activist Uncle Kentang.

In a Facebook post, Uncle Kentang revealed that the man was once a cushion maker but fell on hard times, leaving him without a place to stay. With no shelter available, he chose to make a tree his home and has been living there for months.

Uncle Kentang said he approached the man to speak with him, offering food and checking on his well-being. He also encouraged him to look for a room and explore ways to improve his situation.

Photos shared online showed the man perched high up in the tree, highlighting the extreme conditions he has been enduring.

The post sparked mixed reactions among netizens. Some questioned why the man, who appeared physically able to climb a tree, had not found work or alternative shelter. Others expressed sympathy and called for greater compassion, hoping he would soon find stability and support.

Uncle Kentang is known for drawing attention to the struggles of people facing hardship and often stepping in to provide assistance to those in need.
