The government will implement Year Four Learning Assessment starting this year, covering four core subjects: Bahasa Melayu, English, Mathematics, and Science.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said that the Form Three Learning Assessment will follow in 2027, involving five core subjects: Bahasa Melayu, English, Mathematics, Science, and History.
He said both assessments will be centrally administered by the Examinations Board and will be known as the Malaysia Learning Matrix.
Anwar made the announcement while speaking at the launch of the National Education Plan 2026–2035 held here today.
