Dashcam Captures Near Head-On Crash After Sedan Overtakes on Double-Lane Curve

Date:

A sedan dangerously overtook on a double-lane curve, almost colliding head-on with an oncoming car, prompting the other driver to honk and brake sharply before shouting “Bodoh” (stupid) in frustration.

The near-miss occurred at around 11:42 am the day before yesterday, though the exact location remains unknown.

According to a viral dashcam video circulating on social media, the road had two lanes in each direction. The dashcam owner was driving normally when, approaching a bend, they noticed a black sedan driving the wrong way and attempting a double-lane overtake.

The video shows the dashcam driver braking immediately and honking at the oncoming vehicle. During the incident, a voice can be heard shouting “Bodoh,” seemingly to scold the reckless driver. The black sedan eventually braked and returned to its proper lane.

The video sparked widespread discussion online, with many netizens condemning such irresponsible driving. One user shared a similar experience on the Cameron Highlands road, noting that while they avoided a collision, a motorcyclist behind them crashed into their rear due to sudden evasive maneuvers.

However, some netizens argued that slow-moving vehicles (“turtle cars”) also contribute to such incidents. They noted that unnecessarily slow driving on otherwise clear roads can cause traffic frustration, leading impatient drivers to take risky overtaking actions.

“Please accelerate responsibly and don’t treat the road like your living room. Your ‘slow life’ could put others in danger,” one comment read.

Several online users urged the dashcam owner to report the incident to the police or relevant authorities, stressing the importance of ensuring reckless drivers face proper punishment.
