A woman in Tangkak, Johor, has raised concerns after CCTV footage showed a man breaking into her home in the early hours of the morning to steal underwear from a clothes rack on her front porch.
In the video shared on Facebook by the woman, identified as Nico Er, a masked man wearing a cap, black shirt and pants was seen climbing into the porch from a neighbouring unit at about 4.25am.
The suspect was captured inspecting the clothes rack for several minutes before selecting and taking multiple items, including panties, bras and safety shorts, which he stuffed into his pants before leaving the premises.
Nico said in her post that this was not the first incident, claiming the same individual had broken into her home last August to steal underwear. She added that the suspect appeared to have become more calculated in his actions, entering from another unit and taking more items during the latest incident.
The footage has since drawn widespread attention online, with netizens expressing both amusement and concern over the incident. Some compared the suspect’s actions to “shopping”, while others urged the victim to lodge a police report and take precautions for her safety.
