Malaysia Bags First Medal at 2025 ASEAN Para Games: Wheelchair Basketball Bronze

The national men’s 3×3 wheelchair basketball team secured Malaysia’s first medal at the 2025 Thailand ASEAN Para Games (APG) by defeating Indonesia 21-9 to claim the bronze medal today.

Coached by Lim Ming Lip, the squad comprising Razali Cantik, Azzwar Hassan Assari, Roozaimi Johari, Hafiz Ramli, and Atib Zakaria delivered an outstanding performance at Terminal 21 Korat.

The Malaysian players displayed high energy and discipline, controlling the pace of the game throughout and securing a comfortable victory over their regional rivals.

This early success also boosts the Malaysian contingent’s confidence as they strive to achieve their target of 181 medals at the biennial games.
