A Malaysian woman was left stunned — and slightly embarrassed — after her cat accidentally locked itself inside her car at a petrol station in Puchong.
In a TikTok video shared by user @lalylossa, the woman, Laly, showed how her cat named Tabby had somehow stepped on the lock button from inside the car, leaving her stranded outside without her keys.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Laly said the incident happened when she briefly left Tabby inside the car to record a video, unknowingly leaving her car keys behind as well.
“I didn’t expect Tabby to step on the lock button,” she explained, adding that the cat ended up stuck in the car for about 40 minutes.
With no other solution in sight, Laly eventually called the firefighters for help. A fire truck soon arrived at the petrol station, where a team of abang bomba successfully unlocked the car and rescued Tabby.

“There really was no other option but to call the firefighters. I don’t even know whether to laugh or be mad at Tabby,” she said.
Reflecting on the incident, Laly also offered advice to other pet owners, reminding them not to leave car keys inside and to keep the air conditioning on if people or animals are left in the vehicle, admitting she had turned it off at the time.
The video quickly went viral, with netizens flooding the comments section with jokes and amused reactions. Some joked about a whole fire truck being dispatched for a cat, while others joked that it was a good thing Tabby didn’t try to drive the car away.
