Bodybuilding Influencer, 26, Passes Away Suddenly After Intense Training Period

Date:

A 26-year-old Chinese bodybuilding influencer, Bi Jiaqi, has been confirmed dead after passing away suddenly in his sleep, sending shockwaves through the fitness and bodybuilding community.

Bi, who was well known online for his muscular physique and disciplined training routine, was reportedly at the peak of his career. Friends said he had recently received the keys to a new home and had made plans to celebrate with friends after completing an upcoming competition.

However, those plans were abruptly cut short by his sudden death.

Heartbreaking details later emerged suggesting that warning signs may have appeared before his passing. Friends who reviewed photos from his final public appearance noticed that his lips appeared noticeably purple, his expression looked fatigued, and the blood vessels around his neck were unusually prominent.

At the time, these symptoms were not treated as serious concerns, as Bi was known for undergoing intense training and extreme dieting in preparation for competitions.

In the Ningbo fitness community, Bi was widely regarded as highly disciplined and hardworking. His social media accounts documented his rigorous workouts and strict lifestyle.

Earlier this month, Bi had posted a selfie joking that his head looked swollen, comparing it to a “steamed bun.” Those around him reportedly believed the condition was a temporary effect of pre-competition dehydration and extreme fat loss — a common practice in bodybuilding — and even viewed it as a sign of dedication.

Bi’s sudden death has since sparked discussions within the fitness community about the potential health risks associated with extreme training and competition preparation.
