Bangsar Resident Fumes After Neighbour’s Car Blocks Home Gate for Hours

Date:

A homeowner in Bangsar has voiced her frustration after a car was parked directly in front of her house gate, preventing anyone from entering or leaving the property until authorities intervened.

The incident, which took place last Thursday (12 Feb) in the Bangsar area of Kuala Lumpur, was shared in a Facebook post that quickly drew attention from the local community.

Family Left Stranded at Home

In her post, the woman described the ordeal as deeply upsetting, alleging that the driver showed a complete disregard for the rights of others by abandoning the vehicle in front of her gate.

“This driver clearly had no respect for other people’s access,” she wrote, adding that the car was left unattended despite blocking her entire entrance.

She revealed that this was not the first time such an incident had happened. However, the latest occurrence created significant inconvenience as her domestic helper was trapped inside the compound due to the blocked gates.

As a result, the helper was unable to collect her son from school. The homeowner had to leave work urgently to handle the situation, while informing the school to keep her child there until alternative arrangements could be made.

Situations like these underscore how improper parking in residential areas can disrupt daily routines and place unnecessary stress on families.

Authorities Tow Car After Three-Hour Wait

The homeowner said she contacted the police soon after discovering the obstruction. Despite attempts to locate the driver, no one came forward to move the vehicle.

After waiting for approximately three hours under the hot weather, enforcement officers eventually arrived and towed the car away.

While the matter was ultimately resolved, the lengthy delay added to the family’s frustration and raised questions about neighbourly consideration in densely populated areas.

Neighbour Identified as Vehicle Owner

Responding to comments online, the homeowner disclosed that the vehicle belonged to her next-door neighbour. She claimed the neighbouring house accommodates many foreign workers, resulting in limited parking space in the area.

One social media user suggested that she consider installing an outdoor Internet Protocol (IP) camera to enhance security and safeguard her property.

The episode has sparked broader discussion among residents about responsible parking and the importance of maintaining mutual respect within neighbourhood communities.
