A man in his 50s with a prior criminal record was arrested yesterday after allegedly walking naked in front of a health clinic on Jalan Mengkibol, Kluang, an incident that went viral on social media.
The suspect was apprehended at 4pm during Op Cantas at Taman Sunrise Park. Kluang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Bahrin Mohd Noh, confirmed the arrest, saying it followed reports of public nudity.
“The arrest came after a video circulated online showing the incident, which occurred around 7pm last Tuesday. Investigation revealed the suspect has a previous criminal record, but his urine test was negative for drugs,” he said in a statement.
The case is being investigated under Section 377D of the Penal Code, and a remand application will be made at the Kluang Magistrate’s Court this morning.
