Kwon Sang Woo’s Son Ruk Hee Turns Heads Online After Social Media Debut

Date:

The teenage son of South Korean celebrity couple Kwon Sang Woo and Son Tae Young is drawing attention online after reportedly making his first appearance on social media.

Seventeen-year-old Kwon Ruk Hee recently sparked interest among netizens after a photo of him with his famous father began circulating online. The father-and-son snapshot quickly caught the public’s eye, with many pointing out the striking resemblance between the two.

In the image, Ruk Hee appears to have inherited Sang Woo’s distinctive sharp facial features, prompting online users to comment on the teen’s good looks. The photo soon spread across social media platforms as netizens weighed in on the younger Kwon’s visuals.

Life In The United States

Ruk Hee has been living in New Jersey, United States, with his mother Son Tae Young and his younger sister since 2019. Meanwhile, Kwon Sang Woo continues to pursue his acting career in South Korea, regularly travelling between the two countries to spend time with his family.

Aside from his growing online attention, the teenager is also active in school life. He currently plays on his school’s football team, adding to what many online have described as the classic profile of a popular high-school athlete.

Already Turning Heads

Son Tae Young has previously shared that her son has already been attracting attention in public. On her YouTube channel, she recounted an incident where several girls approached Ruk Hee when the pair were walking together in Seoul.

Standing at around 182cm tall, the teenager is said to possess visuals often compared by netizens to those of K-pop idols, leading some online users to suggest that he might have potential in the entertainment industry.

Future Plans After Graduation

Ruk Hee is expected to graduate from high school in the coming months. According to Tae Young, he hopes to further his studies at New York University (NYU).

The university is well known globally, particularly for its Tisch School of the Arts and Stern School of Business, although it remains unclear which field the teenager may eventually pursue.

For now, however, online discussions appear more focused on his looks than his career plans. Some netizens have even suggested that Ruk Hee should consider becoming a K-pop idol, while others joked that he may have already surpassed his famous father in the looks department.

One confident commenter even declared: “He’s even more handsome than his dad.”

Still, with parents like Kwon Sang Woo and Son Tae Young, it seems good genes were always going to draw attention sooner or later.
