Fifty-Three Iranian Hospitals Destroyed Since Start Of US-Israel Strikes

Date:

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has revealed that a total of 53 hospitals have been decimated across Iran since the commencement of joint military strikes by the United States and Israel on 28 February. The top diplomat highlighted these figures as evidence of the systematic targeting of essential civilian infrastructure during the escalating regional conflict.

According to a report by the Mehr News Agency, Araghchi asserted that these medical facilities were among the primary civilian targets struck during the hostilities. He contended that while Iran’s adversaries frequently accuse the nation of hitting residential zones without providing substantial evidence, they are simultaneously conducting strikes on schools, hospitals, and apartment buildings.

The Foreign Minister also drew attention to a recent attack on the Azadi Stadium in Tehran, which resulted in numerous casualties within the Iranian sporting community. He pointed to this specific incident as a clear indication that opposition forces are intentionally disregarding international humanitarian norms by focusing their military efforts on high-density civilian areas.

Araghchi reiterated that the destruction of these 53 hospitals has severely hampered the nation’s ability to provide emergency medical care during the crisis. He described the ongoing military campaign as a deliberate attempt to cripple Iran’s domestic infrastructure under the guise of strategic operations.

The Iranian government continues to call for international oversight regarding these strikes, maintaining that the targeting of healthcare facilities constitutes a grave violation of global warfare protocols. As the conflict progresses, the humanitarian impact on the Iranian populace remains a central theme in the Foreign Ministry’s international appeals.
