Puchong Member of Parliament Yeo Bee Yin has shared joyful news on social media, announcing the safe arrival of her identical twin boys. The Democratic Action Party (DAP) representative confirmed that she gave birth to Monochorionic Diamniotic (MCDA) twins on 14 March 2026, during her 35th week of pregnancy. Both mother and infants are reported to be in good health, marking a significant and happy addition to her growing family.
In a heartfelt Facebook post, Yeo shared a light-hearted message from the perspective of her newborns, noting that while the parents hoped the twins would stay in the womb a little longer to grow stronger, the duo was eager to make their “grand debut.” The MCDA classification means the twins shared a single placenta but developed in separate amniotic sacs. This type of pregnancy is often closely monitored due to its unique biological requirements and potential complexities.
Reflecting on her journey, Yeo admitted that this pregnancy was physically and emotionally more demanding than her previous experiences with her three older sons. She noted that conceiving and carrying twins at her current age presented distinct challenges that required extra resilience. However, she expressed deep gratitude that the entire 35-week term passed without any major complications, viewing the healthy delivery of both boys as a profound blessing.
With the arrival of the twins, Yeo and her husband are now the parents of five energetic boys. She humorously acknowledged the lively future ahead, joking that the “LeeBro” team has gained two new members and that her household is destined to be “full of adventure, joy, and, of course, very noisy.” The MP also shared a scriptural reflection, citing Psalm 34:8 to describe the peace and safety of the birth as a testament to her faith.
As the family settles into their new routine, Yeo expressed excitement for the “adventure outside the womb” that awaits her youngest sons. The announcement has drawn a wave of congratulations from colleagues, constituents, and well-wishers across Malaysia, celebrating the expansion of her family. The news highlights a personal milestone for the prominent politician as she balances her demanding public service role with the joys and responsibilities of raising five children.
