The woman, who earns an annual salary of RM245,000 (NT$1.8 million), has moved out of her marital home and initiated divorce proceedings following years of emotional abuse and a proposal to conceive a child using her brother-in-law’s sperm.
The original poster (OP) shared on the Dcard platform that her marital struggles began years ago when she and her husband prioritised their careers in the competitive tech sector. At the time, she made the difficult decision to terminate a pregnancy to maintain professional stability. However, years of high-pressure work eventually took a toll on the couple’s health, leading to fertility struggles primarily attributed to the husband’s low sperm count, which remained unresolved despite medical intervention.
Despite the clinical diagnosis, the traditional-minded mother-in-law shifted the entire blame onto the OP, accusing her of failing to “take care” of her husband. The situation escalated when the mother-in-law moved into their home, enforcing a strict regimen of foul-smelling traditional medicine and monitoring the couple’s private life.
