A heated misunderstanding between motorcyclists escalated into a violent confrontation involving parangs and wooden clubs on Monday. The incident, which took place along Jalan Waja in Telok Panglima Garang, Kuala Langat, Selangor was captured on video by passers-by and has since gone viral, showing several individuals engaged in a chaotic street fight.
Kuala Langat Acting District Police Chief, Deputy Superintendent Mohd Sufian Amin, confirmed that the authorities received a report regarding the disturbance at 2.51 pm. The complainant, a local resident, was alerted by a loud commotion in front of his house. Upon investigating, he discovered his uncle wielding a parang while being surrounded by several unidentified individuals who were attempting to assault him.
Following the report, police moved swiftly to restore order and apprehended three men aged between 39 and 45. Two of the suspects were found in possession of wooden clubs, while the third was armed with a parang. The weapons used during the brawl have been seized by the police as evidence to facilitate further forensic investigation and court proceedings.
Currently, the Kuala Langat police are actively tracking down several other suspects who are believed to be still at large. The case is being investigated under Section 148 of the Penal Code for possessing weapons at a riot, a charge that carries a maximum penalty of five years’ imprisonment, a fine, or both, upon conviction.
