Maxim has confirmed that its e-hailing services are now operating legally nationwide after receiving official verification from the relevant authorities.
Its Malaysia director, Mohd Hazwan Musley, said the company holds valid licences and fully complies with regulations set by the Ministry of Transport Malaysia, Road Transport Department Malaysia, Land Public Transport Agency and Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board.
He noted that on December 2, 2025, APAD issued an official statement listing all registered e-hailing operators in Peninsular Malaysia, with Maxim included among companies holding valid permits.
For operations in Sabah and Sarawak, Mohd Hazwan said the company has secured all required approvals from LPKP and continues to adhere strictly to local regulatory requirements.
“The official APAD listing has removed any doubts regarding Maxim’s licensing status. We operate with full transparency and strict compliance with Malaysia’s transport regulations,” he said in a statement.
He added that all Maxim drivers are required to possess a Public Service Vehicle (PSV) licence, an E-hailing Vehicle Permit (EVP), and valid insurance coverage. Vehicles must also pass inspections by Puspakom to ensure passenger safety.
Beyond compliance, Maxim said it is focused on improving service quality and safety standards while expanding transport access, particularly in rural areas. The platform also offers flexible income opportunities for drivers and supports local economic growth.
The company further highlighted its corporate social responsibility initiatives in education, healthcare and environmental sustainability, along with inclusive features such as special fares for persons with disabilities and women-only ride options in selected areas.
