No Pen, No Problem: Woman Uses Lipstick To Warn Stranger Of Flat Tyre

Date:

A small act of kindness shared on social media platform Threads has gone viral, after a woman used an unexpected item — her lipstick — to warn a stranger about a flat tyre.

Siti Nur Hanani noticed that the rear left tyre of a parked car appeared to be deflated and feared the owner might drive off without realising the risk. With no pen or paper available, she improvised by writing a warning directly on the vehicle’s window using her liquid lipstick.

“I hope the car owner notices this. I didn’t have a pen, so what else could I do? I had to sacrifice my lip matte,” she wrote in her post.

She added that while the owner may already be aware of the issue, she hoped her message would help prevent any potential danger on the road.

Her post quickly drew attention online, with many netizens praising her quick thinking and sharing similar stories of unconventional ways they had helped others in difficult situations.

One user, Dalia, shared a photo showing a contact number written on paper using lipstick after she had to temporarily double-park her vehicle.

Another user, @ciknisnis, recounted leaving RM10 along with a handwritten note after accidentally damaging another motorcycle’s number plate, explaining she was unsure of repair costs at the time.

Other commenters also joined in with light-hearted reactions, with some joking about conserving lipstick usage and others sharing their own experiences of using makeup items such as eyeliner for similar acts of goodwill.

The light-hearted thread has since been widely shared, highlighting how small, creative gestures can make a meaningful difference.
