Actor Badron Munirah has expressed discomfort after his growing popularity reportedly led to several individuals suddenly claiming to be related to him.
Badron, whose real name is Mohammad Nur Badron Munirah Rio Abdillah, 27, said the situation has made him more cautious about the people around him as his public profile continues to rise.
He revealed that some individuals have claimed to be his cousins despite no prior close family connection, which he found unsettling.
According to him, it is particularly strange when people who were not previously close suddenly attempt to portray a familiar relationship after he gained recognition in the entertainment industry.
Badron also claimed that some of these individuals had previously spoken negatively about him but later reconnected once he became more well-known.
Despite the situation, he said he continues to treat everyone politely, but remains selective and careful about who he allows into his inner circle.
He further shared that there have also been cases where people approached him to borrow money after he became more recognised, which came as an unexpected challenge.
However, he chooses to decline such requests, saying he is cautious about potential complications, including the risk of not being repaid.
Badron admitted that he has previously been cheated by a close friend in a financial matter, which has made him even more wary of money-related dealings.
He added that while some may see his stance as harsh, he prefers to avoid unnecessary conflicts and financial risks in the long run.
