Apple’s First Foldable iPhone Reportedly On Track For September Launch, Says Gurman

Apple’s long-rumoured foldable iPhone is reportedly still on schedule for a September debut, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, despite earlier speculation of possible delays.

Previous reports from Nikkei Asia had suggested the device could face shipment setbacks due to engineering challenges. However, Gurman has indicated that development remains steady and the handset is expected to be unveiled alongside the iPhone 18 Pro lineup.

While the launch timeline appears to be intact, early availability could be limited. Gurman noted that initial supply of the foldable model may be constrained, potentially affecting rollout volumes at the start.

The foldable iPhone has been one of Apple’s most anticipated future products, with industry observers closely watching how the company enters the increasingly competitive foldable smartphone segment. If launched as expected, it would mark Apple’s first major step into a new device category dominated by rival manufacturers in recent years.
