Singer Andi Bernadee has dismissed allegations linking his noticeably slimmer appearance to drug use, clarifying that his weight loss is due to a medical condition.

The 35-year-old singer, whose real name is Andi Azrul Andi Mapangile, said he has been diagnosed with Graves’ disease, a form of hyperthyroidism that has caused a significant drop in his body weight.
In an Instagram post, Andi explained that he is currently undergoing treatment and regularly attending hospital appointments while on medication.
“I have been diagnosed with Graves’ disease (hyperthyroidism). I am still going back and forth to the hospital and taking medication,” he said, adding that the video circulating online was recorded last year.
He also responded to a social media comment accusing him of looking like a drug user, urging the public not to jump to conclusions based on appearance alone.
Andi said he hopes his clarification will clear any misunderstanding surrounding his condition and current health situation.
“I am okay now. I am still in the recovery process, but I can work and dance a little. My weight has also started to increase,” he added.
Despite his health challenges, Andi continues to remain active in his music career and has recently released his first solo album titled Ding Geding, which features 12 tracks.
Graves’ disease is an autoimmune disorder that causes the thyroid gland to produce excessive hormones, often leading to symptoms such as weight loss, tremors, and fatigue.
