A trainee teacher was killed in a road accident while on her way home from school along Jalan Bandar Sri Indah, Tawau, on Friday.

The victim, identified as 25-year-old Amierah Aqeelah Arbin, was pronounced dead at the scene following the incident, which occurred at around 12pm.

Amierah Aqeelah, a final-year university student, was understood to be undergoing her teaching practicum at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Balung at the time.
