Man Allegedly Bites MRT Handrail And Disturbs Passengers On Kajang Line

Date:

A man suspected of being intoxicated reportedly caused a disturbance on a Malaysia MRT train, behaving erratically and unsettling passengers during the journey.

According to a post on social media platform Threads by user “zkdlllfn”, the incident occurred on the Kajang Line while the train was at Kwasa Damansara Station. The user claimed the man appeared to be a foreigner and may have been drunk at the time.

Witnesses said the man behaved unusually throughout the ride, including lying on the floor, spinning around, and even biting the train’s handrail, drawing attention and concern from nearby passengers.

Other passengers also shared their experiences in the comments. One user, “jbinroll”, claimed the man was already acting strangely while queuing at the station, allegedly biting on what looked like a plastic object and staring at people in a disturbing manner, comparing his behaviour to that of a “zombie”.

“I felt very uncomfortable and decided to wait for the next train instead of boarding that one,” the user said.

Another passenger, “aaaamirull”, said he was standing directly in front of the man and noticed a strong smell of alcohol. He added that Rapid KL was notified during the incident, but the man had already disembarked at Ampang Park Station before any action could be taken.
