Wedding DJ Blamed After 140 Chickens Die Due To Loud Music In Wedding

Date:

A festive wedding celebration has taken an unexpected turn after 140 chickens were found dead at a poultry farm located near the event venue in Dariyapur village, Sultanpur district, India, on 25 April.

Local police said initial findings suggest that extremely loud music from a DJ setup during the wedding procession may have triggered panic among the birds, leading to the mass death incident.

Farm owner Sabir Ali claimed the loud noise created a chaotic situation at the poultry farm, saying the intense sound appeared to have “frightened” the chickens. He added that the birds died suddenly amid what he described as a highly stressful environment caused by the disturbance.

Authorities are currently conducting further investigations to determine the exact cause of death, including whether the volume levels during the wedding celebrations directly contributed to the incident.

The unusual case has drawn widespread attention from the local community, raising concerns over the impact of excessively loud wedding festivities not only on residents but also on nearby animals. Officials are expected to review whether any regulations on noise levels were breached during the event.
