Police have confirmed that a viral video showing a confrontation at Jalan Prima Saujana 2/1A here involved only a verbal argument between a married couple, with no injuries reported.
Kajang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Naazron Abdul Yusof, said authorities received a report from the couple at around 3.28pm yesterday following the circulation of the 30-second clip on social media.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the individuals seen in the video are husband and wife. Police also reviewed the footage and confirmed that the incident involved only a heated exchange of words, with no physical violence or harm caused to either party.
The woman involved has also clarified to police that she was not assaulted and has denied claims that she was injured during the incident. Authorities emphasised that both parties were only engaged in a verbal disagreement at the location behind a row of shoplots in the area.
Following the clarification, police have advised the public against spreading unverified information or making speculation that could lead to unnecessary public concern or misunderstanding.
The case gained attention after the video went viral online, showing a man and woman arguing in a residential-commercial area in Kajang, sparking various assumptions before police confirmed the actual circumstances.
