A man has shared a controversial personal experience online, claiming he was allegedly touched inappropriately by a stranger while sleeping in a sauna lounge area, sparking heated debate on social media.
The post, shared on Dcard, described how the man had visited a sauna to relax and fell asleep in a lounge area after using the facilities. He said he had been watching adult content and resting on a sofa when he drifted off.
According to his account, he suddenly felt someone touching his private area while asleep. At first, he thought it was a dream, but later realised the contact was real when the actions became more noticeable.
The man claimed he initially did not react immediately and instead “continued pretending to sleep”, saying he was unsure what was happening and was experiencing a mixture of confusion and physical stimulation.
He further alleged that the stranger continued the contact and attempted more explicit actions before eventually stopping when someone else entered the rest area. The individual then reportedly left the scene.
In his post, the man said he was surprised by his own reaction and discovered he did not feel discomfort toward the experience, even suggesting he was not entirely opposed to same-sex sexual contact. He stressed that it did not change his sexual orientation but described it as a “unique psychological experience”.
The post quickly went viral, drawing sharply divided reactions. Some users criticised the incident as potential sexual misconduct, pointing out that any non-consensual touching in a public space could constitute sexual harassment and pose safety concerns.
Others, however, interpreted the account differently, suggesting it reflected ambiguous boundaries in certain adult spaces and questioning whether the interaction was mutually understood.
The discussion has since continued online, with many emphasising the importance of consent and personal safety in shared public facilities.
