Singha Heir Releases Audio Recording Amid Denial Of Abuse Allegations

Date:

Siranudh “Psi” Scott, an environmental activist and heir to Thailand’s Singha beer fortune, has released an audio recording in response to allegations of childhood sexual abuse, following a public denial by his elder brother.

Psi, a former national park ranger and conservation advocate, first made the allegations in an emotional social media video on Saturday, May 9, in which he also said he no longer wished to be associated with the Singha family. He alleged that his older brother, Sunit “Pi” Scott, repeatedly sexually abused him during their teenage years and claimed that family members were aware of the incidents but did not intervene.

He also revealed an ongoing legal dispute involving his mother, who has reportedly filed a lawsuit seeking to reclaim property previously gifted to him by their grandfather, citing alleged ingratitude.

Pi responded on Monday evening with a video statement firmly denying the accusations. He described the claims as untrue and said he would “never do such a thing,” calling the allegations “disgusting and terrible.” While acknowledging that the brothers had frequent childhood disputes that sometimes turned physical, he rejected any suggestion of sexual abuse.

Pi further stated that the family had continued to support Psi, including through mental health treatment, but said communication had broken down after Psi blocked contact. On the property matter, he claimed ownership of the residence was shared and said their mother had initiated legal action following alleged damage to the property while under Psi’s supervision.

Pi’s wife, actress Lapassalan “Mild” Jiravechsoontornkul, later shared property documents online in support of her husband and warned that legal action would be taken against social media users posting defamatory comments.

On Tuesday, Psi released a four-minute excerpt from a recorded conversation between himself and his brother, with the full recording said to last around 20 minutes. In the audio, Psi repeated allegations that he was forced into sexual acts when he was around 10 or 11 years old, while Pi was approximately 16, and said the experience had long-term psychological effects.

Within the same recording, Pi stated that he was too young at the time to fully understand his actions and claimed he had previously attempted to address the matter. Psi rejected this explanation, arguing that his brother was old enough to comprehend the seriousness of the conduct and said the alleged abuse had worsened trauma from an earlier incident involving a babysitter.

As of reporting time, Pi has not issued any further response following the release of the recording.
