A 31-year-old man miraculously survived after falling from a fourth-floor balcony and crashing onto a police car in Rosario.
Dramatic footage of the incident, which occurred at around 2.30pm on Tuesday, showed the barefooted man desperately clinging onto the balcony edge before losing his grip and plunging towards the ground.
During the fall, he reportedly struck two balconies before spinning mid-air and landing head-first onto a police vehicle parked below the apartment building.
Witnesses at the scene were heard screaming in horror moments before the man slammed onto the car roof.
The police vehicle had reportedly been dispatched to the building following reports of a disturbance involving the man.
He was later rushed to hospital by ambulance and is currently being treated in the intensive care unit at Clemente Álvarez Emergency Hospital.
Medical personnel confirmed he suffered multiple injuries, including a head injury and a fractured arm, and is currently on a ventilator.
Local media initially speculated the man may have been a burglar, but authorities later confirmed he was actually a resident of the apartment building.
Investigators are still trying to determine how the man ended up hanging from the balcony, although reports suggested he may have been under the influence of drugs.
Several witnesses believed the police car may have saved his life by cushioning the impact of the fall.
One witness told local media they initially thought a bus crash had occurred after hearing a loud bang, while another said the man likely would not have survived had the police car not been parked below.
The shocking footage has since gone viral online, with some social media users referring to the survivor as “miracle Spider-Man.”
