20-Minute Agony: Two Men Pinned In 10-Ton Lorry Crash On PLUS Highway

Date:

Two men endured more than 20 minutes of intense pain after becoming trapped when a 10-tonne lorry they were travelling in was involved in a crash at Kilometer 225.3 of the North-South Expressway southbound early this morning.

A spokesperson from the Negeri Sembilan Fire and Rescue Department said firefighters from the Rembau Fire and Rescue Station were dispatched to the scene immediately after receiving an emergency call at 1.51am.

The rescue team arrived at the location approximately 20 minutes later and found both the 47-year-old driver and a 41-year-old assistant pinned inside the vehicle’s passenger area following the collision.

Firefighters worked to extricate both victims from the wreckage, with the operation carried out under challenging conditions due to the extent of the damage.

Both men were successfully rescued and subsequently transported to hospital for further medical treatment.
