Engine Issue Forces RMAF Fighter Jet To Land At Kota Kinabalu Airport

A Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) fighter jet was reported to have made an emergency landing at Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA) last night.

According to Berita Harian, the F/A-18D Hornet experienced a technical issue involving its left engine before it safely touched down at 7.47pm.

The aircraft is understood to be in good condition following the landing, with engineers immediately carrying out inspections.

The fighter jet is currently parked at KKIA’s Terminal 2 while further checks are being conducted.
