TNG eWallet Expands QR Scanning Beyond Payments to Menus, Tickets, and More

Date:

TNG Digital Sdn Bhd, the operator of TNG eWallet, has rolled out an expanded QR scanning feature that goes beyond payments, now covering menus, forms, tickets, and other non-payment uses, enhancing convenience for users.

The upgrade allows users to scan any QR code directly within the TNG eWallet app, eliminating the need for multiple scanning apps. “QR codes are now part of daily life in Malaysia, from dining and shopping to travel and entertainment,” said TNG Digital CEO Alan Ni. “By enabling our users to scan any QR code anytime, TNG eWallet is not just making payments easier—we are making everyday life more connected and convenient.”

Ni added that while the update may seem small, its impact is significant, allowing Malaysians to accomplish more through a single app. The expanded QR function complements TNG eWallet’s existing financial and lifestyle services, which include e-commerce, bill payments, investments, insurance, and international remittance.

TNG Digital said the new feature aligns with its mission to be a trusted all-in-one digital companion, helping Malaysians live smarter, simpler, and more connected lives.
