Form Three Student Falls from Third Floor Dorm: Family Suspects Bullying

Date:

A Form Three student is now in critical condition after being suspected of falling victim to bullying at his school dormitory in Sabak Bernam. The student’s uncle, Muhammad Aidil Mansor, 34, said his nephew, Ahmad Irfan Ahmad Hanafi, reportedly fell from the third floor of the dormitory.

CT scan results showed that Ahmad Irfan suffered bleeding in both sides of the brain, a broken jaw, and lung injuries. Muhammad Aidil said, “If he really fell from the third floor, his entire body would have been injured. But the scan only shows a broken jaw. That’s why we suspect bullying may be involved.”

The family filed a police report at 5 a.m. on Tuesday at the Sabak Bernam Police Station. The police have detained five students to assist with the investigation, but so far, they have refused to give statements.

Muhammad Aidil also questioned the school’s delay in informing the family. “We were only notified at 4 a.m., even though the incident happened around 2 a.m. The warden said Irfan fell after eating instant noodles, but the medical report shows there was no food in his stomach,” he explained.

He added that Ahmad Irfan has always been cheerful and active at school. The student even held a position in the dormitory’s religious committee and had never shown any problems with his peers.

Ahmad Irfan is currently sedated in the hospital and under close medical supervision.
