Seven Cars Destroyed In Workshop Fire In Kuala Selangor

Seven cars parked at a workshop near Masjid An-Naim in Kampung Sungai Sembilang were destroyed in a fire that broke out late last night.

The incident, which occurred at about 11.30pm, left the vehicles about 90 per cent damaged, although no casualties were reported.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department Zone 7 chief Samsol Maarif Saibani said 10 firefighters from the Kuala Selangor and Kapar fire stations were deployed to the scene following an emergency call.

He said the fire involved seven stationary vehicles at the workshop premises.

Firefighting operations were carried out using a 91-metre hose line with two water jets from the engine tank until the flames were fully extinguished.

No injuries were reported in the incident, while the cause of the fire and total losses are still under investigation.
