Jabatan Meteorologi Malaysia (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds affecting three states until 7pm today.
In a Facebook update, MetMalaysia said the adverse weather is expected to hit several areas in Pahang, including Jerantut, Temerloh, Maran, Kuantan, Bera, Pekan and Rompin.
The same warning has also been issued for parts of Johor, specifically Mersing.
In Sabah, the affected areas include Sandakan, particularly Telupid and Beluran, which are also expected to experience severe weather conditions.
In a broader context, MetMalaysia regularly reminds the public to stay alert during monsoon transitions, as sudden weather changes can pose risks to daily activities and road safety.
Authorities have advised the public in affected regions to remain cautious and follow official updates as the situation develops.
