Armed Robbers Slash Convenience Store Worker During Brutal 35-Second Heist

Date:

A convenience store employee was left injured after two armed robbers stormed a shop and carried out a violent robbery that lasted just 35 seconds.

The incident, which was captured on CCTV, reportedly took place in the Nibong Tebal area at around 7.42pm on May 31.

Footage from security cameras inside and outside the premises showed the suspects arriving in a silver-coloured car before launching the attack.

According to the video, two men quickly entered the store while a third accomplice remained outside, acting as a lookout near the vehicle.

One of the suspects, who was not wearing a face covering, immediately grabbed a mobile phone from the counter before entering the cashier area where the male employee was working.

The robber then allegedly attacked the worker with a machete-like weapon while his accomplice targeted the cash register.

Moments later, the suspects forced open the till and grabbed cash while the store’s alarm system began sounding.

The CCTV footage showed the employee attempting to resist, resulting in a brief struggle between him and the armed suspect.

During the confrontation, the worker was slashed and could be heard screaming for help.

The robbers also appeared to take several packs of cigarettes before fleeing the scene.

After completing the robbery, the suspects rushed back to the waiting vehicle and escaped.

Residents and nearby shop owners quickly came to the victim’s aid and contacted emergency services.

The injured employee removed his shirt and used it to stem the bleeding from a head wound while waiting for medical assistance to arrive.

Photos taken after the incident showed blood stains across parts of the store.

The CCTV footage quickly spread across social media, with many Malaysians expressing outrage over the suspects’ violent actions and calling for their swift arrest.

In a separate video circulating online, a man believed to be the same machete-wielding suspect was allegedly involved in another robbery earlier that same day.

The footage reportedly showed two men armed with knives robbing a female shop worker at around 5.51am. No injuries were reported in that incident.

As of now, police have yet to release an official statement regarding the case, and investigations are believed to be ongoing.
