A man has sparked concern among road users after he was caught on video pushing a road barrier into the middle of a traffic lane, obstructing the path of an oncoming vehicle in an incident that has since gone viral on social media.
The 15-second clip, believed to have been recorded in the Titiwangsa area at around 6.03am on Sunday, shows the individual moving the barrier onto the roadway, creating a potential hazard for motorists and motorcyclists travelling through the area.
Adding to the alarm, the man was also seen carrying a long metal rod while walking along the road, raising further concerns about public safety.
In the footage, the driver of a nearby car can be heard shouting at the individual after lowering the vehicle’s window, apparently angered by the dangerous situation created on the busy road.
Several motorcyclists passing through the area were also seen stopping to question the man’s actions, with some appearing visibly concerned by the incident.
The motive behind the man’s behaviour remains unclear, and it is not known whether a police report has been lodged regarding the matter.
The video quickly gained traction online, attracting more than 6,900 likes, 573 comments and 220 shares on Facebook at the time of writing.
Many social media users expressed concern over the incident and urged authorities to investigate, warning that such actions could lead to serious accidents or even fatalities.
One user claimed to have encountered a similar individual near Jalan Loke Yew, alleging that the man had attempted to kick passing motorcyclists before later returning with a knife.
Another commenter warned that drivers who failed to spot the barrier in time could have suffered vehicle damage or become involved in a potentially fatal accident.
Members of the public have since called on authorities to identify the individual and take appropriate action to ensure the safety of all road users.
