A traffic policeman has won praise from the public after a video showing him helping a stranded motorcyclist and his young son went viral on social media.

The incident was shared by the officer himself through his Threads account, @bangkeram, where he explained that he came across a man and his child stranded on a motorcycle lane after their motorcycle had reportedly run out of fuel.

Without hesitation, the officer stepped in to assist by managing traffic flow before towing the motorcycle to a nearby petrol station so the father and son could continue their journey safely.

“Good morning, may we all arrive safely at our destinations,” he wrote in the caption accompanying the video.

The footage also showed another motorcyclist voluntarily following behind them to help ensure the journey to the petrol station was carried out safely.

Upon arriving at the petrol station, the policeman went a step further by paying for the motorcycle’s fuel at the counter. He was also seen giving a small cash contribution to the young boy as a gesture of kindness.

His actions quickly attracted attention online, with many social media users commending the officer’s compassion and willingness to help members of the public while on duty.

Several road users who witnessed the incident also shared their experiences in the comments section.

One user, @alfy_ainur, said he saw the officer towing the motorcycle near Sunway Mentari before accompanying the family all the way to a nearby BHP petrol station.

“May God reward this policeman with endless blessings. I saw him towing the motorcycle all the way to the petrol station. Truly outstanding,” he wrote.

Another user, Syukri, thanked the officer for not only helping push the motorcycle to safety but also paying for the fuel.

“Thank you, officer. You helped them get to the petrol station and even paid for the petrol. May all your affairs be eased,” he commented.

Meanwhile, another social media user, @comeonlaa, described the officer’s actions as a positive example that could help improve public perception of the police force.

“It may seem like a small act to some people, but it meant a lot to someone who needed help at that moment. May the officer be blessed with abundant sustenance,” the user said.
