A man was forced to ride a motorcycle from Bukit Mertajam, Penang to Alor Setar, Kedah after his car was blocked by another vehicle allegedly parked in a double parking position without releasing the handbrake.
The incident was shared on Threads by user Nnurulllle, who claimed the man had been waiting for nearly two hours at an apartment parking area after being unable to move his vehicle.
According to the post, the man repeatedly honked his horn in an attempt to get the vehicle owner, believed to be a white car, to come down and move it, but received no response.
Witnesses expressed sympathy, saying the situation disrupted nearby residents, including night shift workers, due to the continuous horn sounds during the long wait.
With time running out due to urgent matters in Alor Setar, the man eventually gave up waiting and opted to continue his journey by motorcycle instead.
The incident has sparked anger online, with many netizens criticising irresponsible parking behaviour and urging authorities to take stricter action, including towing vehicles that obstruct others.
Some also suggested that vehicle owners should at least leave contact numbers or ensure proper parking etiquette to avoid inconveniencing others.
