Myanmar Man With UNHCR Card Found Dead At Taman Sri Rampai Food Court

A Myanmar national holding a United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) card was found dead at a food court in D’Rejang, Taman Sri Rampai here yesterday.

Wangsa Maju District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Annas Sulaiman said police received information from the public regarding the incident at about 10.50am.

He said the victim, believed to be homeless, was found unresponsive while lying on a concrete bench at the food court.

Police forensic teams and investigating officers were deployed to the scene to conduct investigations.

A post-mortem will be carried out to determine the cause of death, and the case has been classified as sudden death (SDR).

Authorities have advised the public against making speculation on the case and urged those with relevant information to come forward and assist investigations.
