A foul smell coming from a third-floor apartment at Taman Impian Indah led to the shocking discovery of a woman’s body hidden inside a suitcase on Monday.
The grim find was made after residents, unable to tolerate the strong odour emanating from the unit, contacted the police at around 7pm.
According to a source, officers responded immediately to the report and conducted a search of the apartment upon arrival.
“Police inspected the residence before discovering a suitcase containing the body of a woman,” the source said.
The discovery has raised questions surrounding the circumstances of the woman’s death, with investigators expected to carry out further examinations at the scene and identify the victim.
Authorities have yet to release additional details, including the identity of the deceased or whether any suspects have been identified.
Police are continuing their investigation to determine the cause of death and the events leading up to the body being concealed inside the suitcase.
