The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) has assured that diesel subsidies will continue to be channelled to eligible groups without any leakage or abuse.
Deputy Minister Datuk Dr Fuziah Salleh said in a Facebook post that eligible recipients can now enjoy subsidised diesel at RM2.10 per litre under the Budi Madani Diesel Programme, which has been implemented starting today.
She said the ministry remains committed to ensuring that the subsidy mechanism benefits only targeted recipients while preventing any form of misuse or exploitation.
At the same time, enforcement efforts under Ops Tiris 4.0 (Integrated) will be strengthened to curb smuggling and diversion of subsidised diesel.
She added that the operation is also aimed at ensuring subsidised fuel reaches those who are truly eligible.
KPDN will continue to monitor the supply chain and market price movements to prevent any form of manipulation that could affect consumers.
She said the approach reflects the MADANI Government’s commitment to ensuring subsidies are delivered directly to those in need.
