PH Tells Johoreans To Expect ‘Surprise’ Manifesto This Friday

Date:

Pakatan Harapan (PH) Johor will officially launch its manifesto for the upcoming Johor state election (PRN) this Friday, with promises centred on addressing the real needs of the people, according to Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa.

The Johor PKR State Leadership Council chairman said the manifesto has been finalised after carefully assessing the priorities of Johoreans, adding that the coalition’s pledges are designed to be both practical and achievable.

“We have carefully examined every proposal. God willing, PH Johor is ready, and on 3 July (Friday) we will launch our manifesto.

“To Datuk Zahari Sarip, just wait until 3 July to see what PH has to offer the people of Johor. Don’t be surprised.

“Our proposals are well thought out and grounded in the needs of the people. Our goal is to improve the lives of Johoreans,” she said.

Dr Zaliha was responding to remarks by Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate for Buloh Kasap, Datuk Zahari Sarip, who had previously questioned PH Johor’s manifesto and direction ahead of the state election.

Her comments were made during an interview on the Johor election that was uploaded to her Facebook page on Wednesday.

The Sekijang MP also criticised BN, claiming that many of the coalition’s election promises have yet to be fulfilled.

Dr Zaliha said PH has a proven track record of delivering on its commitments, pointing to findings by a special committee established to monitor the coalition’s manifesto implementation.

Having previously served as a Cabinet minister, she said PH closely monitored the progress of every pledge made by its component parties during its time in government.

“During the first three years of our administration, we tracked every promise made in the PH manifesto.

“Thank God, almost all of the promises were fulfilled. This shows that within three and a half years, we were able to implement what we had promised.

“So, it is not impossible for the commitments outlined in our Johor election manifesto to be realised during our term in office,” she said.
